The Food for Life Schools Award
A Food for Life Schools Award is a great way to demonstrate that your school is doing fantastic work to provide healthy school meals, great lunchtimes and food education that has a positive impact on both pupils and the wider community.
The F4L programme supports your school to:
- Improve health, wellbeing and motivation of pupils and staff
- Encourage pupils to take part in enrichment activities
- Enable children to feel empowered to make their own choices to improve wellbeing
- Connect with parents and your local community
Don't just take our word for it, read the Independent evaluation of F4L's unique approach that shows the positive contribution to pupil health and wellbeing, with many schools reporting a clear impact on their Ofsted report.
In Leicestershire, this is a commissioned programme to enable schools to benefit from an enhanced programme of support and guidance.
The FFL commission has enabled all schools to receive free training, 1:1 support and resources, to create wider networks of support. Across the commission there is 1 Gold, 13 Silver and 72 Bronze schools which have been awarded Food for Life School Awards.
