Substance use and Young People webinar for secondary aged pupils

Leicestershire Police's Substance Misuse Team Leader, James Edmondston, and Turning Point's Young People and Young Adult Manager, Annmarie Smyth will be delivering an online webinar for school staff and professionals who work with secondary aged pupils, which will provide an local overview and update on drugs, alcohol and substance use in young people across Leicestershire and Rutland.
The session will include:
- A 90 minute free webinar via Microsoft Teams for all school staff, children and family workers and youth workers
- An update on substance use and hotspots within Leicestershire & Rutland
- An update on drug use, drug classification and their effects
- An update on emerging threats
- Information on prevention and what support and services available
The webinar is suitable for secondary schools across Leicestershire & Rutland.
