Trauma Informed Organisations (Tier 2B)
This 4 hour online workshop aims to develop ideas from previous trainings around Childhood Adversity and Trauma Informed Practice. This course will be focused on how to apply key principles within a whole organisational approach to trauma informed practice.
Session Aims:
- To understand the benefits of a whole organisational approach to trauma-informed practice
- To understand the concepts behind a trauma-informed culture for organisations
- To begin to consider some different options for implementing trauma-informed practice within your specific setting
Within this session we explore what a trauma informed model looks like and what is involved. We look at the trauma informed journey and how encourage our people on the journey with our organisation. We consider the workplace culture, staff behaviours, staff resilience and power dynamics. We develop action plans and practical tools, to enable us to feel confident to take that first step on the journey to being a trauma Informed organisation.
This webinar discusses trauma. Trauma can be a multisensory experience, it can happen to anyone at any point in their lives, it may leave us with unexpected moments of overwhelm. During this training we try to make it as safe as possible and provide you with take care warnings throughout and offer emotional regulation techniques.
This webinar is part of a programme of training being provided by the Trauma Informed Partnership for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This partnership is between the Violence Reduction Network (VRN) and Barnardo's. This session is for anyone living or working within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland with an interest in developing Trauma informed Practice within their role.
