The Leicestershire Healthy Schools Programme is here to support all Leicestershire and Rutland schools in creating a positive environment that improves the health and wellbeing of pupils, school staff & the wider school community and reduces health inequalities across Leicestershire and Rutland.
The Healthy Schools Award uses a Whole School Approach for schools to review, monitor and improve their health and wellbeing offer.
Westfield Junior School are our first school to be awarded Healthy Schools status since the relaunch in September 2021 - a huge well done! Read more about their achievements on our school stories page, and find all of the schools working towards Healthy Schools status.
We have a few spaces left for secondary schools across the county to take part in the Young Health Champions programme during the 2023/24 academic year.
